Which size I should choose?

Choosing the ideal size for your decorative frame might seem challenging. However, we are here to help you choose your frame in a simple and practical way!

Sizes

Knowing the right option for your space is extremely important so that your decoration looks beautiful and harmonious! A frame with a size that doesn’t enhance your decorative composition could be the reason why your decoration is not the best version it could be today.

Here at QuadrosDecorativos.com, we have four size options: Ultra-Giant, Giant, Large, and Medium. Each one of them will fit differently into your decor, so it’s important to choose the one that will be perfect for your space!

Ultra-Giant

Our Ultra-Giant size is 1.72m tall and 1.29m wide! It is the perfect option for large spaces or for those decorations where you want practicality, filling your wall with a huge frame and making it the focal point!

Examples:

Giant

The next option we have is the Giant size, which is 1.24m tall and 93cm wide. It is perfect for medium spaces where you want to fill your decor with a unique and beautiful piece of art. It is also a practical option when you don’t want to create compositions with other frames or decorative objects.

Examples:

Large

The Large size, which is 1m tall and 75cm wide, is the option that will suit most spaces, especially if they are smaller and you still want to fill your decorative composition with a standout frame.

Examples:

Medium

Lastly, we have the Medium size, which is 64cm tall and 48cm wide. It is the ideal size for smaller spaces or for creating compositions with multiple frames or other decorative objects.

Installation

Now that your frame is in your hands and you’ve opened it, it’s time to put it on your wall. However, for it to shine on your wall the way it truly deserves, follow our advice!

Always support your frame on more than one point.

Most people support their frames on just one point of attachment (nails, screws, hooks, screws with anchors, etc.), and this is one of the main reasons why, in the long term, damage occurs.

This happens for the following reason:

By supporting the frame in just one place, its balance will be concentrated there, creating a tension point.

This tension point, because it is not distributed throughout the entire construction of the frame but only in the center, will be overloaded and can cause changes in the wooden frame, resulting in distortions and even cracks.

When there are two or more support points, the tension of the frame’s support is distributed, preventing any issues in the future.

This problem worsens even more with our larger frames and those with glass finishes because, being large and heavier, they require more support. Without it, their lifespan is drastically reduced.

Check out the video below of one of our customers who made this mistake.

In this case, after watching the video, you can see that this piece from our "Lion of Judah" frame was sagging in the upper central part.

Therefore, always remember the importance of properly installing your frame so that it stays with you for decades!

Support points should be parallel

Another important recommendation for installing your frame is that the support points should be parallel, meaning at the same height. This avoids the worry of having a crooked frame since it will already be aligned when you hang it!

Be mindful of the height at which you install your frame!

Determining the perfect height to hang your frame is extremely important to creating a harmonious and stylish environment!

However, depending on the number of frames you place on your wall, the organization of them should change to build the perfect composition. Learn with us!

When hanging a frame on your wall, imagine a line dividing it in half. This line should be positioned 1.60m from the floor because this is the average eye level for a person.

Now, if you intend to place your frame above furniture (a sofa, for example), it’s important that, in addition to following the 1.60m rule, you leave a space of 15-20cm between them.

If you want to create a composition with two frames, it is recommended to hang them with a gap of 5 to 10 centimeters between them.

And don’t forget the guidelines we provided earlier, as they still apply here.

If you want to decorate with a set of three frames, it is recommended to hang them with a gap of 3 to 5 centimeters between them.

And just like the previous example, the rules of average height and furniture distance still apply.
